Gavin Devlin
Gavin Devlin is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Ardboe club. He is a former member of the Tyrone county team, winning two All-Ireland SFCs. Playing career Youth Devlin had considerable success at county youth level. He has won one All Ireland minor Championship (1998) and two All-Ireland Under 21 Championships in 2000 and 2001. Senior Devlin won two All-Ireland medals; in 2003, playing a pivotal role in Tyrone's blanket defence system and as a panel member in 2005. Ardboe
Ardboe () is a large parish civil parish in east County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It borders the western shore of Lough Neagh and lies within the Mid Ulster District Council area. It is also the name of the local civil parish, which incorporates both Mullinahoe and Moortown. Ardboe Development Association, which developed a small business park, and Ardboe Community Group are based in the Mullinahoe part of the parish. The name "Ard Boe" means "high cow" comes from a legend that the monastery of Ardboe was built from the milk of a magic cow which emerged from nearby Lough Neagh. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC
Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC ( ga, CLG Ard Bó Uí Dhonnabhain Rosa) is a club based in east County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, close to the shores of Lough Neagh. The club was formed in 1947 but Gaelic games had existed under different banners from the early 20th century. The club has won a total of seven Tyrone Senior Football Championships, the last in 1998 when they defeated Omagh. Michael Coney Park Michael Coney Park is the home ground of Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC, situated on the Kilmascally road near to the main parish centre. In the 1970s the club constructed the main pavilion building and the surrounding facilities. In the following years new fencing was erected and a new covered stand and terracing to further improve the club's grounds. In recent years the club purchased a new training field near the current playing field. The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. The first tournament was held in 1887; it has been held every year since 1889. Mickey Harte
Mickey Harte (born 1952) is an Irish Gaelic football Manager (Gaelic games), manager and former player. He has been manager of the Louth county football team, Louth county team since 2020. Harte managed the Tyrone county football team, Tyrone county team from 2002 until his resignation in 2020, at which time he was the longest-serving manager then active with the same team in inter-county competition.
