The Eurasian sparrowhawk (''Accipiter nisus''), also known as the northern sparrowhawk or simply the sparrowhawk, is a small bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. Adult male Eurasian sparrowhawks have bluish grey upperparts and orange-barred underparts; females and juveniles are brown above with brown barring below. The female is up to 25% larger than the male – one of the greatest size differences between the sexes in any bird species. Though it is a predator which specialises in catching woodland birds, the Eurasian sparrowhawk can be found in any habitat and often hunts garden birds in towns and cities. Antonio Lara de Gavilán (22 September 1896 – 4 January 1978), mostly known by his pen name Tono, was a Spanish graphic artist, editorial cartoonist and author of comic theatre. Diego Antonio Gavilán Zarate (born 1 March 1980) is a Paraguayan former footballer and current coach. He is the current interim manager of Cerro Porteño's reserve team. Career Gavilán's nickname '' pampero'' – literally meaning the horse or the man that runs like the wind in the Pampa – offers a fair indication of his purposeful and hard-running style. Gerardo González (January 6, 1926 – February 13, 2003), better known in the boxing world as Kid Gavilan, was a Cuban boxer. Gavilán was the former undisputed welterweight champion from 1951 to 1954 having simultaneously held the NYSAC, WBA, and ''The Ring'' welterweight titles. The Boxing Writers Association of America named him Fighter of the Year in 1953. Gavilán was voted by ''The Ring'' magazine as the 26th greatest fighter of the last 80 years. Galivan (Spanish: ''Gavilán'', meaning "Sparrow Hawk") is a location in Orange County, California. Most internet-based mapping websites locate Galivan as a neighborhood or small locale near the cities of Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel, about two miles north of the Interstate 5-California State Route 73 interchange. Gavilan Hills, sometimes called the Gavilan Mountains, are a range of the Temescal Mountains, in Riverside County, California.
