Gavà
Gavà () is a municipality in the Baix Llobregat comarca, in the province of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It borders the coast of the Mediterranean Sea between Viladecans and Castelldefels. Gavà has a beach and two population centers: the city proper and Gavà Mar (Gavà Sea), a coastal neighborhood. Gavà's mayor belongs to the Socialists' Party of Catalonia. Gávavencsellő is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. The village was established in 1971 by merging the former separate villages of Gáva and Vencsellő. Geography It covers an area of and has a population of 3938 people (2001). History In 1898 Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Friedlander became the village chief rabbi; until he got promoted as the chief rabbi of Liska, When his father Rabbi Chaim Friedlander died in 1906. Rav Tzvi Hirsh established a yeshiva, where about 40-60 students learned. Rabbi Chaim said about his son becoming chief rabbi of Gava: "He is rav of Gava (=the city), but gava he does not possess". Kaba ( ky, Каба) is a village in Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 2,484 in 2021. It is part of the Bazar-Korgon District. Although located in Kyrgyzstan, the settlement is also known as Uzbek-Gava. It has been a sticking point in negotiations with Uzbekistan. Since 2001, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have intermittently convened a joint border delimitation commission. The Gáva-Holigrady culture was a late Bronze Age culture of Eastern Slovakia, Western Ukraine (Zakarpats'ka Oblast and Dnister river basin), Northwestern Romania, Moldova, and Northeastern Hungary. It is considered a subtype of the Urnfield culture. Gava-Holigrady culture is named after an archaeological settlement Gava in Northeastern Hungary and an archaeological site Holigrady (Голігради) in Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast. The Gavà Mines, also known as Can Tintorer Mines, is a pre-history, pre-historic (Neolithic) archaeological site that occupies the Can Tintorer, Ferreres and Rocabruna areas in the municipality of Gavà (Baix Llobregat, Catalonia, Spain).M.
