Gauri Pundah
Gauri Pundah (also spelt as Gauri Punda) is a village in Fatuha development block of district Patna in the state of Bihar, India. It is situated on the banks of the river Mahatmain ( principal branch of river Falgu before disappearing in 'Taal' area of Mokama). This village consists of six settlements (or tolas in local parlance) viz Gauri, Gyaspur (near Varuna village), Abdalchak (near Shivchak village) and three settlements of Pundah (consisting two tolas - Deeh and Narayanpur besides a tola called 'Tari Par' near Mahatmain river basin). ''Gauri'' ( ne, गौरी; first edition: 2015 BS (1959-60 AD)) is an eponymous tragic epic written by Nepali "National Poet" ( ne, राष्ट्रकवि) Madhav Prasad Ghimire, in memory of his first wife, following her premature death. It is widely regarded as one of the poet's finest works; it is also the most popular. Ghimire has named ''Gauri'' as one of his favourites, among his works. Inspiration Madhav Prasad Ghimire, at fifteen years of age, was married to his first wife Gauri Pokharel, herself aged only ten, in 1990 BS. She died after eleven years of marriage in which they had two children together. Gauri is an India musical raga that appears in the Sikh tradition from northern India and is part of the Sikh holy scripture called Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Mahagauri
Mahagauri is the eighth form among the Navadurga aspects of the Hindu mother goddess Mahadevi. She is worshipped on the eighth day of Navaratri. According to Hinduism, Mahagauri has the power to fulfill all the desires of her devotees. The one who worships the goddess, gets relief from all the sufferings in life.
