Gaudí Awards
The Gaudí Awards ( ca, Premis Gaudí) are the main film awards of Catalonia, celebrated annually in Barcelona. The awards were established in 2009 by the Catalan Film Academy as a continuation and expansion of the Barcelona Cinema Awards (''Premis Barcelona de Cinema''), originally established in 2002. Acadèmia Del Cinema Català
The Catalan Film Academy (''Acadèmia del Cinema Català'', in Catalan language, Catalan) is a non-profit organization located in Barcelona created to recognize Catalan cinema, Catalan film productions and professionals, with the objective of being a voice of the Catalan film industry. The Academy joins both creative and productive branches of filmmaking, artistically and scientifically, in the same way as the other film academies. It's a member of the European Film Academy's network of national film academies. It annually holds the Gaudí Awards. Forum Building
The Forum Building ( ca, Edifici Fòrum, ; es, Edificio Fórum), is an architectural landmark in Barcelona designed by the Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron (Herzog & de Meuron). The building is triangular in shape, measuring 180 metres on each side and 25 metres in height, located within the triangle formed by Diagonal Avenue, Rambla de Prim and the Ronda Litoral. It was the symbol of the controversial 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures and the serious flaws that arose during its construction were widely covered in both the Spanish national and foreign press. The building has become a political bone of contention, with the opposition parties in both Barcelona Council and the Parliament of Catalonia demanding to know why it cost so much (of the order of US $144 m). Rosa Elena García Echave (born 16 September 1964), known professionally as Rossy de Palma, is a Spanish actress and model. Palau Sant Jordi (, en, St. George's Palace) is an indoor sporting arena and multi-purpose installation that is part of the Olympic Ring complex located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Neus Ballús (born 1980) is a Catalan film director and scriptwriter. She has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master in Documentary Making from the Pompeu Fabra University. The Palau dels Esports de Barcelona (Barcelona Sports Palace) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is on Lleida Street on the slopes of Montjuïc, a hill to the south east of the city centre. The arena is able to host competitions of any indoor sport.
