José Fernando Naval (born 11 April 1953), better known by the nickname Gatãozinho, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Son of forward Gatão (Vicente Naval Filho), Gatãozinho started his career at Corinthians, standing out in the youth categories. As a professional, played for XV de Piracicaba, and made history with the shirt of EC São Bento, where he made more than 380 appearances, CA Juventus, where he won the 1983 Taça de Prata, and at CA Bragantino in the late 90s, being a of those largely responsible for structuring the club that would become state champion and runner-up in Brazilian Championship in the following years. Gatão
Vicente Naval Filho (10 May 1928 – 2 March 1995), better known by the nickname Gatão, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Career A standout in amateur football in Piracicaba, Vicente received the nickname Gatão due to his father's warehouse, which was close to the old stadium on Rua Moraes Barros. He played most of his career for XV, where he participated in the conquests of the second division in 1947 and 1948, in addition to Corinthians, being part of the state champion squad and the Rio-São Paulo Tournament in the early 50s. Having problems maintaining his physical shape, he ended his career after a quick spell at Ponte Preta. The 1983 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, officially, the Taça de Prata 1983, was the 6th edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. Rules The championship had the same format than in 1982, being performed by 48 teams.in the first phase, 36 teams, divided into 6 groups of 6 teams each, in which the two best teams of each group proceeded to the second phase, in which the twelve teams were divided into four groups of three teams.the first placed team of each group were promoted to the Second phase of the Taça de Ouro of the same year. the second placed teams of each group would proceed to the Third phase, in which they would be joined by the twelve clubs that hadn't qualified to the Second phase in the Taça de Ouro.the Third phase was disputed in a knockout tournament format, and the winners qualified to the Quarterfinals, with the knockout tournament continuing until two teams reached the finals.those were promoted to the Copa Brasil of the following year.
