Gatling Gun (film)
''Gatling Gun'' ( it, Quel caldo maledetto giorno di fuoco, es, La ametralladora, also known as ''Damned Hot Day of Fire'' and ''Machine Gun Killers'') is a 1968 Italian-Spanish Spaghetti Western film directed by Paolo Bianchini and starring Robert Woods. Plot In the waning days of the Civil War, Richard Gatling, creator of the gatling gun, offers his invention to the Federal Government. But Gatling is kidnapped by two assassins - under the employ of Tarpas. They also steal his new invention and kill three Union government agents. Soon after, the Pinkerton Agency sends out Cpt. Paolo Bianchini
Paolo Bianchini (born 1931) is an Italian director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Rome, Bianchini began his career in 1953 working as assistant director of a number of notable directors, including Mario Monicelli, Luigi Comencini, Vittorio De Sica, Mauro Bolognini and particularly Luigi Zampa, with whom he collaborated several times. From the second half of the 1960 Bianchini was also active as a director and a screenwriter, specializing in low-budget genre films. Starting from the 1970s he focused his work on television and advertising commercials. Rada Rassimov (born Rada Đerasimović (Serbian Cyrillic: Рада Ђерасимовић) on 3 March 1941 in Trieste, Italy) is an Italian actress of Serb origin, who has appeared in film since the early 1960s and television since 1975. Biography Born to Serbian parents, Velimir and Vera (née Petrijević) Đerasimović, she attended, along with her two brothers, the Serbian Jovan Miletić Grammar School in Trieste where her father was the dean and teacher since 1927. Later, she went to university and took acting classes with her brother Ivan in Rome. Her career was at its peak in the 1960s and 1970s although she has appeared in film as recently as 2003. Ennio Balbo (18 April 1922 – 18 June 1989) was an Italian film, television and voice actor. Biography Born in Naples, Balbo made his debut on stage immediately after the Second World War alongside Paola Borboni and Lamberto Picasso in Luigi Pirandello's ''Così è se vi pare''. He was later a member of the theater company of Gino Cervi, as well as one of the members of the "Society of the Four" alongside Valeria Moriconi, Lia Zoppelli and Gianni Agus. He was also very active as a character actor in films, mainly in villain roles; Balbo took part to numerous Spaghetti Western films in which he was usually credited as Edward Bell.
