Gatis Gūts (born 15 April 1976, Ventspils) is a former Latvian bobsleigh pilot who had competed since 1994. Currently he is one of the coaches of Latvian bobsleigh team. His two last seasons have seen him twice in the top ten in the World Cup, both times with co-pilot Intars Dīcmanis. Gatis Kalniņš (born 12 August 1981) is a Latvian football striker, currently playing for FK Valmiera in the Latvian Higher League. Club career As a youth player Gatis Kalniņš played for his local club FK Valmiera, being taken to the first team in 2000. He played there for 2 years, playing 29 matches and scoring 10 goals. In 2002, he was signed by Skonto Riga. He played there until 2008 - played 141 matches and scored 58 league goals over 7 seasons. In July 2008 he went on trial with the Championship side Burnley, but didn't stay with the team. In 2008 Kalniņš was released from Skonto and he signed a contract with Jūrmala-VV for the upcoming season. After scoring 3 goals in the first 8 matches he decided to leave and went abroad, signing a contract in Cyprus with Othellos Athienou from the Cypriot Second Division. Gatis Tseplis (born May 1, 1971) is a Latvian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Career Gatis Tseplis arrived to the United States from Riga, Latvia, after spending 12 years playing five seasons of professional hockey in Russia and the Czech Republic. From 1996 to 1997 he played for the Huntsville Channel Cats, the Nashville Nighthawks, and the San Antonio Iguanas. During the 1997 to 1998 season, Tseplis played under Bill McDonald and his Fort Worth Brahmas team, scoring 19 goals and 45 assists for 64 points and was ranked 3rd in the league amongst defenseman in scoring. Due to his scoring abilities, he played a two-game call-up against Detroit Vipers. From 1998 to 1999 Tseplis played with the Fort Worth Fire and the San Antonio Iguanas and in total scored 21 goals and 51 assists for 72 points which ranked him 5th in defenseman scoring for the Central Hockey League.
