Gastón Luciano Ávila (born 30 September 2001) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Eredivisie club Ajax. Career Boca Juniors On 2 January 2019, Ávila was signed by Boca Juniors. Ávila made his professional debut with Boca Juniors in a 2–1 Argentine Primera División win over Talleres on 2 February 2020. Loan to Rosario Central On 10 February 2021, Ávila moved to Rosario Central, on a loan deal until the end of the season. Antwerp On 23 July 2022, Ávila signed for Belgian First Division A club Antwerp for a fee of €4.40 million. The Belgian Super Cup ( nl, Belgische Supercup, ; french: Supercoupe de Belgique; german: Belgischer Fußball-Super Cup), ''Pro League Supercup'', is a Belgian club competition played as a single match between the Belgian First Division A champions (also received the Super Cup host) and the Belgian Cup winners. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The 2021 Argentine Primera División - Liga Profesional (officially the Torneo Socios.com for sponsorship reasons) was the 131st season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. Torneos de Verano ( Spanish for "Summer Tournaments") are a series of short friendly football pre-season tournaments held during the southern summer in Argentina every year, usually in January and February. They serve as preparation for the teams for the season coming; however, as the years went by the competitiveness in the tournaments increased, and they are now considered as important competitions. This is clearly reflected in the high crowd attendance for the games. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as the Copa Libertadores de América ( pt, Copa Libertadores da América), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the ''Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Latin American wars of independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''America's Liberators Cup''".
