Gaspar De Rodas
Gaspar de Rodas (1518–1607) was a Spanish administrator in the area that now comprises the present-day departments of Antioquia, Caldas, Quindío and Risaralda, in what is now Colombia. He was the first governor of Antioquia, part of the New Kingdom of Granada. Born in Trujillo, Cáceres, he was the son of Florencio de Rodas and Guiomar Coello. He arrived at Quito in 1540 and in 1541, he traveled to Popayán with Sebastián de Belalcázar, entrusted with the task of relocating the settlement of Santa Fe de Antioquia Santa Fe de Antioquia is a municipality in the Antioquia Department, Colombia. Cartagena De Indias

The History of the Department of Antioquia began with the arrival of the first human settlers into what is now the Antioquia Department in Colombia. These first settlers are presumed to have arrived from mesoamerica in Central America, some 10,500 years BC, although there is some evidence of human vestiges that may date to 22,000 years BC. Jorge Robledo (1500 – 5 October 1546) was a Spanish conquistador. He traveled in modern-day Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru and was executed by decapitation by order of Sebastián de Belalcázar. Biography Jorge Robledo was born in the year 1500 in Úbeda, Jaén, Andalusia, Spain, with unknown parents.Banco de la República He is first mentioned in the historical chronicles as soldier in the army of Lorenzo de Aldana, who was sent north by Francisco Pizarro in 1539 towards the newly founded province of Popayán. Santa Fe de Antioquia is a municipality in the Antioquia Department, Colombia. The city is located approximately north of Medellín, the department capital.
