Gas 5
''Gas 5'' was Gasolin's fifth album in five years and was released in October 1975. From the humble beginnings of their debut album they had developed into a confident arena rock band with this release. In hindsight, ''Gas 5'' may be considered to be their definitive album. Overview Roy Thomas Baker provided a big powerful "Led Zeppelin rock sound", while Wolfgang Käfer would provide the strings to the epic rock songs: "Rabalderstræde", "Fatherless Hill" and "Sct. Emitri". Wili Jönsson played the harpsichord on the latter song. The power pop of "Kvinde min" and the reflective ballad of "Masser af success" shows a gentle side too. ''Gas 5'' was the first Gasolin' album to include songs with English lyrics (if you do not include the albums that Gasolin' released only for the international market). Gasolin'
Gasolin' were a Danish rock band from Christianshavn, Copenhagen, formed by Kim Larsen, Franz Beckerlee, and Wili Jønsson in 1969. Their first drummer was the late Bjørn Uglebjerg. He was replaced by Søren Berlev in 1971. At their formation, the guitar playing of Franz Beckerlee was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and the vocals and lyrics of Larsen were inspired by Bob Dylan, while the rhythm playing of Jønsson and Berlev owed much to The Beatles. However, they would soon develop their own musical style. The pop sensibility of Kim Larsen, the artistic attitude of Franz Beckerlee and the musical competence of Wili Jønsson would prove to be a recipe for success. Lis Sørensen
Lis Sørensen (born 28 May 1955) is a Danish pop singer. In the 1970s she worked with Anne Linnet in Shit & Chanel and Anne Linnet Band. In 1983 she released her first solo album. She is also known for being the first artist to record Ednaswap's "Torn (Ednaswap song), Torn", which was renamed "Brændt" (Danish for "Burned"). Kim Larsen
Kim Mellius Flyvholm Larsen (23 October 1945 – 30 September 2018) was a Danish rock and pop musician. He was a major selling Scandinavian act with over 5 million albums sold. Career Kim Larsen was born in Copenhagen. Inspired by The Beatles and rock and roll, he began as a songwriter and guitarist. In 1969 he met and , and the three founded Gasolin' which, later joined by drummer , became one of the most successful Danish rock bands. The band dissolved in the late 1970s.
