Gary Wade Finley
Gary Wade Finley Jr. (1960–2022) was a multiple time champion at Huntsville (AL) Speedway. Finley won the 1989 NASCAR Charlotte/Daytona Dash Series championship. Finley won the Daytona 200 event that year for the series. Finley competed in one ARCA Racing Series race in 1984. He finished 7th. He also competed in two NASCAR Southeast Series events in 1993. Toney, Alabama
Toney is an unincorporated community in the northwestern part of Madison County, Alabama, United States. It is part of the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area. According to "Appointment of Postmasters, 1832 - September 30, 1971" from the National Archive, the post office was established in 1898. Blanche Rawls Toney was the first post master, and Toney is said to have been named in her honor, probably by James E. Toney, her husband. According to an article from Wed. June 14, 1899 Huntsville Weekly Democrat, as "Toney" the town was established in 1897 through the efforts of "Jim" Toney. By 1899 the railway owned by the "Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis" company was running through the village, and there was a depot there. Huntsville Speedway
} Huntsville Speedway is a quarter-mile (.402 km) oval race track in Huntsville, Alabama. It opened in 1959 as a dirt track, and was paved in 1962. It held one NASCAR Grand National Series event in 1962, won by Richard Petty. Today the track hosts weekly racing with a variety of stock car and modified classes. Daytona 200
The Daytona 200 is an annual motorcycle road racing competition held in early spring at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks.
