Gary Turner (musician)
Gary Albert Turner is a musician, writer, composer, publisher, record company owner, and film & television developer and producer. He was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and grew up in the working class suburb of Klemzig. He is the co-founder and owner of one of the world's leading music education publishers, Koala Music Publications / LearnToPlayMusic.com, and has written over ninety music education books, that have been translated into many languages, with total sales of over twenty million copies. He is the owner and co-founder of the film, television and new media production company, Angel Phoenix Media. Early years Gary Turner was on born 22 June 1954 in Adelaide, Australia. Glenn Lumsden
Glenn Lumsden is an Australian comic book artist and writer. Born in Sydney in 1964, he began self publishing in 1985 with David de Vries, Gary Chaloner and Tad Pietrzykowski under the Cyclone Comics imprint, working on ''The Southern Squadron'' and ''Dark Nebula''. Lumsden and de Vries entered the American market through First Comics, Nicotat and Malibu Graphics with ''The Southern Squadron''. ''Forbidden Planet'' is a 1956 American science fiction film from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, produced by Nicholas Nayfack, and directed by Fred M. Wilcox (director), Fred M. Wilcox from a script by Cyril Hume that was based on an original film story by Allen Adler and Irving Block. It stars Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen. Shot in Eastmancolor and CinemaScope, it is considered one of the great science fiction films of the 1950s, a precursor of contemporary science fiction cinema. Krell
The Krell are a fictional extinct technologically-advanced alien species from the 1956 science fiction film ''Forbidden Planet''. The first human starship to land on the Krells' home planet of Altair IV, the ''Bellerophon'', was destroyed, with the only survivors being Dr. Edward Morbius along with his wife (who later died of natural causes) and daughter. In his isolation, Morbius became the lone researcher to ever study the extinct Krell. Description The Krell had reached an incredibly advanced stage of technological and scientific development, able to—among other things—reproduce down to the molecular level any matter for which they had a pre-existing sample to serve as a template. The Mark Of Cain (band)
The Mark of Cain (also seen as the initialism, TMOC) are an alternative metal band from Adelaide, South Australia. Their style has been likened to that of Helmet and Rollins Band, yet this band pre-dates both groups and was influenced by the early work of Joy Division, Big Black and United States hardcore groups. The Mark of Cain were formed in mid-1984 by brothers, John (guitar) and Kim Scott (bass guitar), with Rod Archer on vocals and Gavin Atkinson playing drums. Before long, Archer had left the group and John Scott took on the lead vocal role and the group has remained a trio ever since. The Scotts have been the core of the band which has featured 15 different drummers. Since January 2001, former Helmet member John Stanier has been their drummer; he is also concurrently with Tomahawk and Battles.
