Gary Stone
Gary Stone (born 19 June 1981) is a Scottish professional darts player who currently plays in the World Darts Federation tournaments. Career BDO Stone began his darts career at The Village Tavern in his hometown of Larkhall, reaching the semifinal of the weekly tournament before being eliminated by eventual winner and local darts protégé Darren Cross. The next week, Stone reached the final only to be beaten again by "The Crucifying Cross". It was Stone's first prize in darts; the prize was four credits for the jukebox. Stone was spotted by local promoter Dave "Clubber" Lang, who recommended him to the BDO tour's management, who beat out competition from rival darts promotions in St Tam's and Netties to sign him to play professionally on the tour. Stone qualified for the 2012 BDO World Championship and reached the last 16, defeating Ron Meulenkamp 3–0 but losing 4–0 to Martin Adams. Bellshill
Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. The 2013 WDF World Cup was the 19th edition of the WDF World Cup darts tournament, organised by the World Darts Federation. It was held in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada from October 1 to 5. Entered teams 27 countries/associations entered a team in the event, which is eleven less than 2011. Michael Van Gerwen
Michael van Gerwen (; born 25 April 1989) is a Dutch professional darts player. He is currently ranked number 3 in the world, having been number 1 from 2014 to 2021. He is also a three-time PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2014, 2017 and 2019. Van Gerwen is regarded as one of the best players of all time. Van Gerwen began playing darts at the age of 13. He won the 2006 World Masters and threw a televised nine-dart finish at the 2007 Masters of Darts, becoming the youngest player to do both, aged 17. However, after this initial burst onto the darting scene, van Gerwen struggled for consistent form until his breakthrough year in 2012. Rowby-John Rodriguez
Rowby-John Rodriguez (born 27 March 1994) is an Austrian professional darts player currently playing in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Career In 2010, as a 16-year-old, Rodriguez won the Austrian National Championship by beating Franz Thaler 5–0 in the final. At the second event of Q School in January 2014 he stood one win away from joining the PDC but lost 5–3 to Gerwyn Price. However, after all four events had been played Rodriguez had done enough to finish ninth on the Q School Order of Merit and earn a two-year tour card. His first PDC major was the UK Open where he was knocked out 5–1 by Tony Randall in the first round. In May, Rodriguez reached the final of the PDC World Youth Championship where he lost 6–4 to Keegan Brown at the O2 Arena in London as part of the Premier League finals night. 2014 PDC Pro Tour
The 2014 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Professional Dart Players Association Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers, and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. This year there were 34 PDC Pro Tour events held – 20 Players Championships, 6 UK Open Qualifiers, and 8 European Tour events. Prize money Prize money for each UK Open Qualifier was increased from £35,000 to £50,000 to match the 2013 Players Championships, which themselves remained unchanged for this year. Ryan De Vreede
Ryan de Vreede (born 1 September 1992) is a professional Dutch darts player. He plays in the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career PDC De Vreede's first Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) event was the 2009 German Darts Championship where he lost 6–4 to Vincent van der Voort in the last 64. He entered Qualifying School in January 2013 in an attempt to play full-time in the PDC and almost succeeded in the third event as he reached the final round before being edged out 6–5 by Campbell Jackson. However, after all four days had been completed he had done enough to finish fifth on the Q School Order of Merit and earn a two-year tour card. Steve Grubb
Steve Grubb (born 19 September 1968 from London) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation events, he was nicknamed Grubby. Career Grubb fell two games short of qualifying for the 2006 World Matchplay, losing to Andy Hamilton who eventually qualified. He then fell one game short of qualifying for the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship. Having beaten Tom Kirby and Paul Williams, he lost in the final game to Wayne Atwood. In 2008, Grubb secured his best ever performance in the PDC Pro Tour, reaching the last 16 in the Players Championship in Las Vegas, beating David Fatum and Tony Ayres before losing to Mark Frost. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). John Scott (born 17 February 1981 in Harrow, London) is an English darts player currently playing in World Darts Federation events. His nickname is Gnasher. Career Scott made his major debut at the 2012 UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. He lost out 4–2 to Brian Woods in the preliminary round. He qualified via the UK Open Order of Merit in tied 96th place with a total of £600 - winning £200 in three of the eight qualifying events.
