Gary Robson (footballer)
Gary Robson (born 6 July 1965) is an English former professional association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, he played in the Football League between 1982 and 1996 for West Bromwich Albion F.C., West Bromwich Albion and Bradford City A.F.C., Bradford City, making nearly 300 league appearances. Robson later played non-league football for Gateshead F.C., Gateshead alongside brother Justin Robson. He went on to become Caretaker Manager of Gateshead, leaving the club after relegation. His other brother is former England national football team, England captain Bryan Robson. Gary Robson (as of 2011) is Assistant Manager at Durham Alliance's Whitehill F.C. Chester-le-Street
Chester-le-Street (), also known as Chester, is a market town and civil parish in County Durham, England, around north of Durham and also close to Sunderland and Newcastle upon Tyne. It is located on the River Wear, which runs out to sea at Sunderland to the east. The town holds markets on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The town's history is ancient, records go back to a Roman-built fort called Concangis. The Roman fort is the "Chester" (from the Latin ''castra'') of the town's name; the "Street" refers to the paved Roman road that ran north–south through the town, now the route called Front Street. Bryan Robson
Bryan Robson OBE (born 11 January 1957) is an English football manager and former player. He began his career with West Bromwich Albion in 1972, where he amassed over 200 appearances and was club captain before moving to Manchester United in 1981, where he became the longest-serving captain in the club's history and won two Premier League winners' medals, three FA Cups, one Football League Cup, two FA Charity Shields and a European Cup Winners' Cup. In August 2011, Robson was voted as the greatest ever Manchester United player in a poll of the club's former players as part of a book, ''19'', released to celebrate the club's record-breaking 19th league title. Robson represented England on 90 occasions between 1980 and 1991, making him at the time the fifth-most capped England player. His goalscoring tally of 26 placed him eighth on the list at the time.
