Gary Gene Miller (born October 16, 1948) is an American politician, who was the Republican U.S. Representative for . He was first elected in 1998 and served until 2015, when he retired. The district includes most of southern and western San Bernardino County. He previously represented the 42nd District from 1999 to 2013 (numbered as the 41st from 1993 to 2003). In February 2014, Miller announced he would step down at the next election. Early life, education, and business career Miller was born in Huntsville, Arkansas, but grew up in Whittier, California. He attended Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California, and served briefly in the United States Army in 1967 being discharged after seven weeks of boot camp at Fort Ord near Monterey. Michael Dunn (actor)
Michael Dunn (born Gary Neil Miller; October 20, 1934 – August 30, 1973) was an American actor and singer with dwarfism. He inspired a number of actors significantly smaller and shorter (those with dwarfism) than most people, including Zelda Rubinstein, Eric the Actor, and Mark Povinelli. Medical condition Dunn had medical dwarfism, a result of spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia (SED, subtype unknown), a genetic defect of cartilage production caused by a mutation in the COL2A1 (type II collagen) gene. This disorder, classified as a skeletal dysplasia, causes distorted development of the limbs, spine, and ribcage and leads to early, widespread osteoarthritis and constricted lung growth. As an adult, Dunn stood 3' 10" and weighed about 78 pounds (117 cm, 35 kg). Gary Miller (born 1946) is an American conductor, gay activist, and educator. Raised in York, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Music Education and from the University of Michigan with a Master of Music in choral conducting. In August 1980 he played a pivotal role in founding the New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC). Miller served as the NYCGMC's first music director from 1980 to 1998, later returning as director for one season in 2005. Under his baton, the chorus performed more than 50 concerts in Carnegie Hall and completed three European tours. Accomplishments Under Miller's leadership the NYCGMC operated not only as a musical ensemble but as a political and social organization. In a 2005 interview in ''The New York Times'' Miller said of the chorus, "As gay men we wanted to make music for the education and enrichment of the community. Gary Miller (born }) is an American sportscaster and radio host, best known for his tenure at ESPN from 1990 to 2004. Early life and education Miller is a native of Naperville, Illinois and a graduate of Southern Illinois University. Career WSAV-TV, CNN and Headline News From 1978–82, he was the Sports Director at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. Before Miller came to ESPN, he spent eight years at CNN and Headline News as part of their sports coverage. ESPN From 1990 to 2004, Miller worked at ESPN. Gary Miller (born 15 April 1987) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or defender, who used to play for East Kilbride currently playing for West of Scotland Football League side St Cadocs. He has previously played for Livingston, Ross County, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle, Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle United, as well as Ayr United on loan. Gary Lee Miller is a professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, United States. In 2003 he won the ACM Paris Kanellakis Award (with three others) for the Miller–Rabin primality test. He was made an ACM Fellow in 2002 and won the Knuth Prize in 2013. Gary Miller, born Neville Williams (3 May 1924 – 15 June 1968) was an English popular music singer and actor of the 1950s and 1960s. His career spanned only 15 years before he died of a heart attack in 1968. He released 24 singles and six EPs on the Pye label between 1955 and 1967. Pye released a further compilation EP after his death. Career Miller abandoned football for a stage and radio career and he began touring the UK variety stages in 1953. He had several Top 40 singles early in his career, his debut single in 1955, " The Yellow Rose of Texas" reaching No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart. The most successful was "Robin Hood" (the theme to ''The Adventures of Robin Hood'') which spent 28 weeks in the chart, and peaked at No. 10, his only Top 10 hit.
