Gary Holland
Gary Holland (born Gary Hallinan, September 14, 1958) is an American hard rock and heavy metal drummer who worked in the 1980s with bands originating from California. He is perhaps best known for being the original drummer in Great White and for his brief stint in Dokken. He later played as a session musician and soundtrack contributor. Career Holland was born in Syracuse, New York. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles, where he co-founded a rock trio called Suite 19, playing clubs in Hollywood and the surrounding areas. By 1980, Holland was a member of an early version of Dokken, headlining one tour of Europe. After leaving Dokken in 1981, he was briefly a member of Sister, which later became W.A.S.P. ''Ozzmosis'' is the seventh solo studio album by English heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne. Recorded in Paris and New York with producer Michael Beinhorn, it was released on 23 October 1995 by Epic Records. The album reached number 22 on the UK Albums Chart and number four on the US ''Billboard'' 200. "Perry Mason", "See You on the Other Side" and "I Just Want You" were released as singles. After the release of his sixth album ''No More Tears'' in 1991, Osbourne announced that he would retire from music. Motörhead
Motörhead () were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by Lemmy (lead vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). Lemmy was also the primary songwriter and only constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to the new wave of British heavy metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Whitesnake are an English hard rock band formed in London in 1978. The group was originally put together as the backing band for singer David Coverdale, who had recently left Deep Purple. Though the band quickly developed into their own entity, Coverdale is the only constant member throughout their history. Gilby Clarke
Gilbert J. "Gilby" Clarke (born August 17, 1962) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He had a 3-year tenure as the rhythm guitarist of Guns N' Roses, replacing Izzy Stradlin in 1991 during the Use Your Illusion Tour, and also featured on '' "The Spaghetti Incident?"'' (1993). Following this, Clarke went on to forge a solo career as well playing guitar with Slash's Snakepit, Kat Men, Heart, Nancy Sinatra, Kathy Valentine (of The Go-Go's), MC5 and forming his own group Rock Star Supernova with members of Metallica and Mötley Crüe. Alice in Chains (often abbreviated as AIC) is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1987 by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney, who later recruited bassist Mike Starr and lead vocalist Layne Staley. ''Up from the Ashes'' is the first solo studio album by Don Dokken, best known as the lead singer of American glam metal band Dokken. The sound of the album continues the more commercial sound that Dokken began to incorporate into their music with ''Under Lock and Key''. The album did not quite achieve the commercial success achieved by Dokken, but it did reach the Top 50 on the ''Billboard'' 200 album chart in the US. The line-up for this album consisted of Don Dokken performing vocals, John Norum formerly of Europe on lead guitar, Billy White formerly of Watchtower on lead guitar, Peter Baltes formerly of Accept on bass, and Mikkey Dee formerly of King Diamond and subsequently of Motörhead on drums. Don Dokken
Donald Maynard Dokken (born June 29, 1953) is an American singer and musician. He's best known for being the lead singer, occasional guitarist, and founder of the glam metal band Dokken. He is known for his vibrato-laden, melodic vocal style which has made him an influential figure in American heavy metal/glam metal. After enjoying mainstream success with Dokken, he parted ways with the band in 1988 and pursued a solo career. His 1990 solo album, '' Up from the Ashes'', spawned two singles and achieved modest success. He released his second solo album, titled ''Solitary'', in 2008, which was a stylistic departure from his Dokken material. ''That's the Stuff'' is the second studio album by the American glam metal band Autograph, released in 1985 by RCA Records. The album featured the singles "That's the Stuff" and "Blondes in Black Cars." A different version of the album was reissued in 1986, featuring a blue cover with different artwork. This version featured a cover of Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band" replacing "Six String Fever" as track 6. A remastered version of the original album with the red cover was released by Spitfire Records in 2002, which retained the same track listing as the original, apart from the substitution of "Six String Fever" with "We're an American Band" as track number 6. Since its remastered release in 2002, the CD has become extremely rare. The album was again reissued in 2009 by the British record label Rock Candy. Autograph is an American glam metal band formed in Pasadena, California, in 1983. The band is best known for their 1984 hit song " Turn Up the Radio". Due to the song being their only major success, Autograph is often considered a one-hit wonder.
