Gary Cox (Gaelic Footballer)
Gary Cox is a Gaelic footballer from County Roscommon, Ireland. He first came to prominence with the Roscommon Junior team that won Connacht and All Ireland titles in 2000 along with future Senior stars like Karol Mannion and Shane Curran. The following year he was part of the Roscommon side that won the Connacht Senior Football Championship. He plays his club football with the St Faithleach's club. As well as representing his country in the 2003 International Rules Series in Australia, he has played for NUIG in the Sigerson Cup, and Connacht in the Railway Cup. Cox transferred to Galway city club Salthill-Knocknacarra Salthill-Knocknacarra () is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Salthill and Knocknacarra areas in Galway City, Ireland. Gary Cox (philosopher)
Gary Cox (born 1964, England) is a British philosopher and biographer and the author of several books on Jean-Paul Sartre, existentialism, general philosophy, ethics and philosophy of sport. A Philosophy graduate of the University of Southampton, UK, in 1988, he was awarded his PhD in 1996 from the University of Birmingham, UK, for his thesis on Jean-Paul Sartre's theory of consciousness, freedom and bad faith and is an honorary research fellow of that same university. His most notable works to date are ''The Sartre Dictionary'' (2008), ''How to Be an Existentialist, or How to Get Real, Get a Grip and Stop Making Excuses'' (2009), ''The God Confusion: Why Nobody Knows the Answer to the Ultimate Question'' (2013) and ''How to Be Good, or How to Be Moral and Virtuous in a Wicked World'' (2020). Artful Dodger (formed in 1973 in Fairfax, Virginia) are an American power pop/rock band, noted for their rock compositions, quick lyrics and vocal harmonies. The group was heavily influenced by the Beatles, Faces, and the Rolling Stones and drew frequent comparisons to the Raspberries. Artful Dodger's studio releases received high critical praise, but the band was unable to penetrate the charts. History The band was originally called "Brat". Original members were Gary Herrewig (guitar), Billy Paliselli (vocals), Gary Cox (guitar and vocals), Robb Michael Inglis (bass) and Steve Brigida (drums). Inglis left the band in 1974 and was replaced by Steve Cooper.
