Garry Tunnicliffe
Air Vice-Marshal Garry Tunnicliffe, (born 14 October 1966) is a senior Royal Air Force officer who served as Defence Services Secretary from 2016 to 2019. Early life and education Tunnicliffe was educated at Devonport High School for Boys, Durham University (BA History and Politics, 1988) and King's College London (MA Defence Studies, 2001). RAF career Tunnicliffe joined the Royal Air Force on 14 August 1988. He became head of the RAF's Team of Management Consultants in 2006, station commander at RAF Halton in December 2008, and Assistant Chief of Staff, Training at No. 22 Group in December 2012. He went on to be Head of Armed Forces Remuneration at the Ministry of Defence in 2014, and became Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Personnel) as well as Defence Services Secretary on 27 June 2016. Royal Air Force
The Royal Air Force (RAF) is the United Kingdom's air and space force. It was formed towards the end of the First World War on 1 April 1918, becoming the first independent air force in the world, by regrouping the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS). The Most Honourable Order of the Bath is a British order of chivalry founded by George I on 18 May 1725. The name derives from the elaborate medieval ceremony for appointing a knight, which involved bathing (as a symbol of purification) as one of its elements. The knights so created were known as "Knights of the Bath". George I "erected the Knights of the Bath into a regular Military Order". Rear Admiral James Norman Macleod, (born 17 March 1970) is a senior Royal Navy officer. Education Macleod also holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Cranfield University and a Master of Arts in Defence Studies from King's College London. Lieutenant General Richard Edward Nugee, CB, CVO, CBE (born 3 June 1963) is a retired senior British Army officer. He served in several senior roles including Defence Services Secretary (2015–2016) and Chief of Defence People (2016–2020), before ending his career leading a review into climate change policy in the Ministry of Defence between March 2020 and May 2021.
