Garmiani
Jiar Garmiani, better known as Garmiani, is a Kurdish-born Swedish record producer and DJ. He has worked with Steve Aoki, Snoop Dogg, Salvatore Ganacci, Lil Jon and Sean Paul among others. He has also performed at music festivals such as Creamfields and Tomorrowland (festival), Tomorrowland Mainstage. Early life and career Starting his career as a hip hop producer in 2001, it wasn’t until 2012 he started releasing dance music under the ”Garmiani” moniker. In 2013 he released ”The city is mine”, a collaboration with Salvatore Ganacci. The same year he signed a record contract with Steve Aoki, Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records and released ”Rumble EP”. The title track of the EP reached #1 on Beatport’s electronica chart and was featured in the soundtrack of ”Need for Speed Rivals”. Dim Mak Records is an independent, Los Angeles-based record label, events company, and lifestyle brand founded by Steve Aoki in 1996. The label has released music under the genres of punk, indie rock, hardcore, hip hop, and electronic dance music. History Early years Steve Aoki started Dim Mak Records in 1996 at the age of 19, out of his college apartment at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The label's first release was a 7-inch record by a hardcore punk band called Stickfigurecarousel. The name ''Dim Mak'' is a reference to Bruce Lee's Death Touch martial art technique. Prior to launching Dim Mak, Aoki was involved in the local hardcore punk scene. As a writer for a small zine, Aoki would often receive demos and albums to review. Salvatore Ganacci
Emir Kobilić, known professionally as Salvatore Ganacci (), is a Bosnian-Swedish DJ and record producer. His performances at Tomorrowland in 2018 and 2019 became internet sensations, as did the music video for his song "Horse". Early life Emir Kobilić was born in Communist Bosnia and moved to Stockholm, Sweden. He told an interviewer that his performing name Kobilić was nicknamed "Salvatore Ganacci" by his childhood friends while playing football ">association_football.html" ;"title="association football">football , as his "style of play was very Italian". Career Kobilić began studying at in 2010, in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. He went on to work as a producer. Tomorrowland is a Belgian electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Flanders, since 2005. History 2005 The first edition of the festival took place on 15 August 2005. Erick Orrosquieta (born August 30, 1991), commonly known by his stage name Deorro, is a Mexican-American DJ signed to Ultra Records. He formerly used the name TON!C.
