Garib Dassi
/Garib Dassi is sampraday divided into two parts, Nadi and Bindi. Bindi is headed bMahant Dayasagar Ji from Chhudani Dham, Haryanawhile Saints comes under Nadi, headed by Swami Brahmanand ji Bhuriwale in Dham Raqba Sahib in the Ludhiana district of Punjab. He was the third head of Bhuriwale Sampradha. He works for the betterment of poor, cow and girls. That is why he had opened several educational institutes specially in the rural area of Hoshiarpur, S.B.S. Nagar, Ropar and Ludhiana for educating girls. He preferred building the Temple of Knowledge rather than religious temples. For that he had established Maharaj Bhuriwale Garib Dassi Educational Trust in 1984. He has been honoured by the Governor of Punjab(India) for his notable contribution to the field of education. Bhuriwale
Satguru Brahm Sagar Ji Maharaj Bhuriwale (1862–1947) was an Indian religious figure. He was born in Rampur Dham in the Rupnagar district of Punjab and passed away in Village Jhaloor Dham Distt. Barnala. Etymology He was the founder of Shri Satguru Bhuriwale (Garib Dassi) sect. He was called by the name of ''"Bhuriwale"'' Maharaj because he used to wear a black colored shawl that is called as "Bhuri" in Punjab. It too has a ''Bhuri ko Bhukhar'' story behind it. Background ''Brahm Sagar Ji Bhuriwale'' was the follower of Acharya Garib Das Ji of Chhudani village of Jhajjar district in Haryana. Acharya Garib Das Ji preached the divine ''baani'' (message, literally ''voice'') in the area that is now covered by the current states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. Kabir Panth
Kabir Panth (Path of Kabir) is a Sant Mat denomination and philosophy based on the teachings of Kabir. It is based on devotion to him as one guru as a means to salvation. Its adherents are from many religious backgrounds as Kabir never advocated change of religions but highlighted their limitations. According to some scholars, this tradition belong to Vaishnavism with universalist leanings. In respect of Kabir, his followers celebrate Kabir Jayanti.
