Garey Bies (born 1946) is a politician and former deputy sheriff from Sister Bay, Wisconsin who served as a Republican Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 1st Assembly District from 2001 to 2015. He served as a member of the committees on Natural Resources, Tourism, Recreation, and State Property; Transportation, Veterans and Military Affairs, and as the chair of the Committee on Corrections and Courts. Garey Bridges (born 11 August 1969 in London, England) is a British actor, best known for playing the role of Lloyd Tavernier in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. Career He originally trained to be a dancer and performed with Wayne Sleep in ''The Hot Show Shoe''. However, he was told at fourteen that he was too short and this prompted him to change his profession to acting. His first notable role came in 1988, when he appeared in an episode of ITV's ''Dramarama'' entitled ''Bogeymen''. The following year he appeared in the BBC medical television series, Casualty (1989) and the children's drama ''Press Gang'' (1989), playing Terry. Garey Lamar Ingram (born July 25, 1970 in Columbus, Georgia) is a former Major League Baseball infielder and outfielder. Career Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 44th round of the 1989 MLB amateur draft out of Middle Georgia College, Ingram spent many years in the Dodgers minor league system. He made his professional debut with the Bakersfield Dodgers in 1991, hitting .297 with 30 stolen bases during the 1991 season. From 1992 through 1994 he played with the Dodgers Double-A franchise in San Antonio. Ingram made his Major League Baseball debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 15, 1994 as a defensive replacement against the San Diego Padres. Alva Edward Garey (June 2, 1883 – September 9, 1971) was an American educator, soldier, and politician. Background Garey was born on June 2, 1883, in Porter, Wisconsin. He was educated in the public school at Stebbinsville. He farmed, took the University of Wisconsin's short course in agriculture as a correspondence course on the farm, studied at Milton Academy, and graduated with a B. A. degree from Milton College. In 1917 he received his law degree from the University of Georgia. During World War I, Garey enlisted in the United States Army as a private, reaching the rank of captain. After the war, he went into the United States Army Reserve as a major, and would eventually reach the rank of colonel. He started legal practice in Edgerton. Enoch Barton Garey (August 7, 1883 – September 24, 1957) was a Maryland native who served as a major in World War I and as superintendent of the Maryland State police. Garey was also a military expert and author of numerous textbooks including ''The Plattsburg Manual: A Handbook for Federal Training Camps.'' Early career Garey was one of six children born on a farm near Tuckahoe Neck, in Caroline County, Maryland. Career Youth and College Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Garey, who grew up in Gonzales, Louisiana, attended St. Amant High School and played for the Baton Rouge Soccer Club. Michael Randolph Garey (born November 19, 1945) is a computer science researcher, and co-author (with David S. Johnson) of '' Computers and Intractability: A Guide to the Theory of NP-completeness''. He and Johnson received the 1979 Frederick W. Lanchester Prize from the Operations Research Society of America for the book.
