Garden City Collegiate
Garden City Collegiate (GCC or GC) is a high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is part of the Seven Oaks School Division, and houses grades 9–12. The Garden City motto is "Participation and Excellence." Garden City Collegiate offers two programs: the English Diploma and the French Immersion Diploma. Garden City is the only high school in Seven Oaks School Division that offers both programs to all students. The school has recently joined its 2 formerly separate buildings; the east building was formerly Jefferson Junior High School. It has also had a new commons area and gymnasium built. Marco Antonio Bustos (born April 22, 1996) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Allsvenskan club Värnamo. Club career Youth He began playing soccer at age four with the Garden City CC. Bustos played for FC Northwest in his native Winnipeg for four years before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps's academy in 2011. Colton Orr
Colton "Bobby" Douglas Orr (born March 3, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Having played nearly 500 games in the NHL, Orr was known as an enforcer for his physical style of play and for regularly fighting. In 2019, he was named the head coach of the Connecticut Whale in the Premier Hockey Federation. Jarred Abiona Ogungbemi-Jackson (born August 11, 1991) is a Canadian-Jamaican professional basketball player for the Winnipeg Sea Bears of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) High school and college career Ogungbemi-Jackson played high school basketball for Garden City Collegiate in Winnipeg. Bachman–Turner Overdrive, often abbreviated BTO, were a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, founded by Randy Bachman, Robbie Bachman and Fred Turner in 1973. Their 1970s catalogue included five top-40 albums and six US top-40 singles (11 in Canada). BTO has five certified gold albums and one certified platinum album in the US; in Canada, they have six certified platinum albums and one certified gold album. Randolph Charles Bachman (; born September 27, 1943) is a Canadian guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was a founding member of the bands The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive. Bachman recorded as a solo artist and was part of a number of short-lived bands such as Brave Belt, Union and Ironhorse.
