Gardagolf Country Club
The Gardagolf Country Club is an Italian golf course located in Soiano del Lago, but the playing field also occupies with the municipalities of Polpenazze del Garda and Manerba del Garda; close to the Lake Garda in the Province of Brescia. The first 18 holes (Red and White Course) designed by Cotton, Pennick, Steel & Partners were inaugurated on the 28th of June 1986, while the Yellow Course was added in 1990. The club hosted the Italian Open three times in 1997, 2003 and 2018, the Kronenbourg Open in 1993, and the Ladies Italian Open in 1990. On 12 December 2017 the Italian Federation announced that Gardagolf would host the Italian Open (this time a Rolex Series event) in 2018 for the third time. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Sam Little (born 31 August 1975) is an English professional golfer and sports agent. He won five times on the Challenge Tour. Early and personal life Little was born in London, England, and is Jewish and has been a member of Hendon Reform Synagogue. Career Little turned professional in 1997, and joined the Challenge Tour in 1999, where he recorded his first win in 2001. In 2004 he won for the second time at that level, and graduated to the European Tour at the end of the season via qualifying school. Fredrik Widmark
Fredrik Widmark (born 20 November 1975 in Hässleholm) is a Swedish professional golfer. A graduate from the U.S. college system where he won five times, Widmark turned professional in 1998 and played predominantly on Europe's second tier Challenge Tour where he won three tournaments. Graduated from the Challenge Tour in 2002 when he finished 14th on the end of season rankings. Carlos del Moral Barilari (born 30 August 1985) is a Spanish professional golfer. Amateur and early professional career Born in Valencia, he was a successful junior, winning the Carris Trophy and the Duke of York Young Champions Trophy before taking up a scholarship at the University of Oklahoma, where he played on the golf team alongside Anthony Kim. Florence Descampe (born 1 September 1969) is a veteran professional golfer from Brussels, Belgium who played on the United States-based LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Sam Torrance
Samuel Robert Torrance (born 24 August 1953) is a Scottish professional golfer and sports commentator. He was one of the leading players on the European Tour from the mid-1970s to the late 1990s, with 21 Tour wins. Torrance was a member of European Ryder Cup teams on eight occasions consecutively; on Cup-winning teams four times. He was also part of the winning Scotland team at the 1995 Dunhill Cup. Mathias David Grönberg (born 12 March 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the European Tour, PGA Tour, and their second-tier tours.
