Joly Garbi
Joly Garbi ( el, Τζόλυ Γαρμπή, 1913 – 9 December 2002) was a Greek actress. She was the wife of the actor Thodoros Moridis for 60 years. They had no descendants. In their late years they lived isolated from the public eye in their summer home in Mati. Katerina "Katy" Garbi ( el, Κατερίνα "Καίτη" Γαρμπή, ; born 8 June 1961) is a Greek singer active in Greece and Cyprus, with some popularity in Turkey. Her career has spanned over 35 years with over 2 million records sold in Greece and abroad. Garbi's discography is marked by several multi-platinum releases, including '' Arhizo Polemo'' (1996) and '' Evaisthisies'' (1997), two of the best-selling albums of the decade. Nabil Mohammed Saghir Al-Garbi (born 3 November 1993 in Dhamar) is a retired Yemeni middle-distance runner. He finished twelfth in the 3000 metres at the 2009 World Youth Championships. In the same year he competed at the 2009 World Cross Country Championships, placing lowly. On the regional level he finished eleventh in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2010 Asian Games, did not finish the steeplechase race at the 2013 Asian Championships, competed in the 1500 metres at the 2011 Pan Arab Games without reaching the final, and contested the 2014 Asian Games marathon—once again without finishing. On the global level he competed in the 1500 metres at the 2011 World Championships, the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2013 World Championships without reaching the final. Garbi is a mountain in the western part of the Tadjourah Region in Djibouti. It is located about east of Djibouti City. With a mean height of 1680 metres (5,512 ft), is the third highest point in Djibouti. History On 3 February 1982, an aircraft Nord 2501 Noratlas occupied by the 2nd Platoon of the 4th Company of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2e REP), collided into Mont Garbi (Mount Garbi) and exploded. 36 men died, including that 27 from the Foreign Legion's 2e REP. Nobody survived. The official explanation – bad weather and incorrect barometric setting of the aircraft's altimeter. The 4th Company of 2e REP was in Djibouti for the so-called short-duration mission, which commonly lasted 6 months at that time, to fulfil its duties in this African country as a French operational unit and to co-operate with the 13th Demi-Brigade of the Foreign Legion (13e DBLE), being placed there at that time.
