Inderøy is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Innherad region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Straumen. Other villages include Framverran, Gangstadhaugen, Hylla, Kjerknesvågen, Kjerringvik, Røra, Sakshaug, Sandvollan, Småland, Trongsundet, Utøy, Vangshylla, and Venneshamn. The municipality is primarily an agricultural community, but also has some industry. The municipality is the 246th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Hustad Church
Hustad Church ( no, Hustad kirke) is a preserved former parish church of the Church of Norway in Inderøy municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located just north of the village of Gangstadhaugen. It is the former main church for the Sandvollan parish which is part of the Stiklestad prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white Romanesque, stone church was built in a long church style around the year 1150. The church seats about 150 people. In 1887, the new Heggstad Church replaced this church. At that time, this church was closed and sold to the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments () to be maintained as a museum. The church is no longer regularly used, but it is used for special occasions. Beitstadfjorden () is the innermost arm of the Trondheimsfjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Steinkjer, Inderøy, and a small part extends into Indre Fosen. The fjord has a length of from southwest to northeast, and a width of about . The fjord begins at the Skarnsund strait in the south and extends northeast to the city of Steinkjer. The peninsula constitutes the northern (more populated) part of the municipality of Inderøy (which is named after the peninsula). Innherred or Innherad is a Districts of Norway, traditional district in Trøndelag county in the central part of Norway. It consists of the areas around the inner part of the Trondheimsfjord in the central-east part of the county. The district includes the municipalities of Levanger, Frosta, Verdal, Inderøy, and Steinkjer. Sometimes, the municipalities of Snåsa and Namdalseid are also included in the Innherred district.
