Ganda Berunda
''Gandu Bherunda'' is a 1984 Indian Kannada language drama film directed by Rajendra Singh Babu featuring an ensemble cast based on the American movie ''Mackenna's Gold''. The plot involves an epigraphist and a geologist on a hunt for an ancient treasure in an island "Hasta Dweepa" (Palm Island), from the then 700-year-old Bherunda kingdom. The film is said to be ahead of its time of release and is considered "technically brilliant". However, it failed to perform commercially at the time. The 1987 Hindi movie '' Khazana'' was partially based on this movie. This was the first combination of Srinath, Ambarish and Shankar Nag. Rajendra Singh Babu
S. V. Rajendra Singh Babu (born 22 October 1952) is an Indian filmmaker and occasional actor who works primarily in Kannada cinema. He was born and brought up in Mysore. His father Shankar Singh produced many films under the banner Mahatma Pictures (Mysore). Babu has written directed movies of different genres in Kannada and in Hindi that include love stories, war, suspense thrillers and comedy movies. Many of his films have been adapted from novels or short stories. Babu has won numerous awards for his films. Amrish Puri
Amrish Puri (22 June 1932 – 12 January 2005) was an Indian actor, who was one of the most notable and important figures in Indian cinema and Theatre.
