Gamescom 2012
Gamescom (stylized as gamescom) is a trade fair for video games held annually at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Since 2018, it has been organised by ''game – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche'' (English: Association of the German video game industry); and before that, by the ''Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware'' (BIU). It supersedes Games Convention, held in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany. Gamescom is used by many video game developers to exhibit upcoming games and game-related hardware. Alongside Gamescom is Devcom, a portion of the convention dedicated to video game development, though activities of Devcom continue year-round. Gamescom is the world's largest gaming event (measured by exhibition space and number of visitors), with 370,000 visitors and 1037 exhibitors from 56 countries attending the show in 2018. ''Spyborgs'' is a beat 'em up video game for the Wii developed by American studio Bionic Games and published by Capcom. It was released in September 2009. Gameplay ''Spyborgs'' sees players controlling a member of a team of cyborg secret agents, each with their own unique abilities, through several levels populated by enemies. The game is designed to be played co-operatively with two players, though the AI will take control of the other character in single player games. Players can also gain experience points to upgrade their character's abilities. (also known as ''Monster Hunter 3'') is the third console installment in the ''Monster Hunter'' franchise, developed by Capcom and released for the Wii in Japan on August 1, 2009. ''Monster Hunter Tri'' was released on April 20, 2010, in North America, April 23 in Europe, and April 29 in Australia. The game was originally planned to be a PlayStation 3 title, but was cancelled due to high development costs for that console. Capcom instead decided to develop it for the Wii. Prior to its debut, a demo of ''Monster Hunter Tri'' was included with Japanese copies of '' Monster Hunter G''. is a third-person shooter video game developed and published by Capcom and Beeline Interactive, Inc. The game is the sequel to '' Lost Planet: Extreme Condition'', taking place ten years after the events of the first game, on the same planet. The game was developed for BlackBerry, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. Originally set to be released in early 2010, Capcom delayed the game's consoles release to May 11, 2010 in North America and Europe, May 13 in Australia and May 20 for Japan, while the BlackBerry version was released worldwide on April 28 and the Microsoft Windows version was released in October that year. The title sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide. ''Dark Void'' is a video game developed by Airtight Games using the Unreal Engine 3 and published by Capcom for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. In the game, players must face an alien threat that humanity had previously banished. The game mixes on-foot and mid-air combat. It was released worldwide in January 2010.
