Gambang–Kuantan Highway
Gambang–Kuantan Highway, Federal Route 2, which is also known as Jalan Gambang and Jalan Tanah Putih, is a major highway in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. The highway connects Gambang, Pahang, Gambang to Kuantan. This highway overlaps with Malaysia Federal Route 3, Federal Route 3 from Kuantan Airport (South) Interchange to Jalan Pekan Exit. Gambang
A gambang, properly called a gambang kayu ('wooden gambang') is a xylophone-like instrument used among people of Indonesia in gamelan and kulintang, with wooden bars as opposed to the metallic ones of the more typical metallophones in a gamelan. A largely obsolete instrument, the gambang gangsa, is a similar instrument made with metal bars. Gambang kayu The bars of the instrument are made of a se wood, generally teak. It also found in ironwood (kayu besi). The bars mounted in a deep wooden case that serves as a resonator. Instruments typically have 17-21 keys that are easily removed, and are kept in place by having a hole through which a nail is placed. Generally a full gamelan has two sets, one gambang pelog and the other one gambang slendro. Gambang is a town in Kuantan, Kuantan District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located at a junction between Malaysia Federal Route 2, Federal route , MEC Highway (Federal route ) and Tun Razak Highway (Federal route ). Kuantan River
The Kuantan River ( ms, Sungai Kuantan) is a river in Pahang, Malaysia. It runs from Sungai Lembing through Kuantan City before flowing out to South China Sea. One section of the Kuantan River flows past an ancient mangrove forest. This forest, which has existed for 500 years, is of vital importance and immense value for the many animal and bird species that it supports as well as for the ecology of the area.
