Galina Dodon (Russian: Галина Додон; born 12 February 1977) is the wife of the former President of Moldova Igor Dodon, serving as the First Lady of Moldova from 2016 to 2020. Igor Dodon (; born 18 February 1975) is a Moldovan politician who previously served as the president of Moldova from 23 December 2016 to 24 December 2020. He currently serves as the leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova. He served as minister of trade and economics in the governments of Vasile Tarlev and Zinaida Greceanîi from September 2006 to September 2009 and was a member of the Parliament of Moldova from 2009 to 2016. Margareta Timofti (born 7 January 1956) is a Moldovan lawyer who is the wife of Nicolae Timofti, the 4th President of Moldova. With her husband being President, she served as the First Lady of Moldova during his term. Biography Timofti was born in January 1956 in the village of Parcani, Soroca District to Lazăr and Feodora Postolachi. She spent most of her childhood in Dumbrăveni with her sister Valentina.
