Omsukchansky District (russian: Омсукча́нский райо́н) is an administrativeLaw #1292-OZ district (raion), one of the eight in Magadan Oblast, Russia. As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Omsukchansky Urban Okrug.Law #1808-OZ It is located in the eastern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is . Magadan Oblast ( rus, Магаданская область, r=Magadanskaya oblast, p=məgɐˈdanskəjə ˈobləsʲtʲ) is a federal subject (an oblast) of Russia. It is geographically located in the Far East region of the country, and is administratively part of the Far Eastern Federal District. The classification system of inhabited localities in Russia and some other post-Soviet states has certain peculiarities compared with those in other countries.
