Aloisio Galea
Aloisio Galea (1851–1905) was a Maltese theologian and minor philosopher. He specialised mostly in moral philosophy. Life Galea was born in Valletta in 1851. He studied at the bishop’s seminary and at the University of Malta. He was ordained a priest in 1874. His main intellectual endeavour was to study, elaborate upon and teach Thomistic writings and doctrines, of which he was an expert. Specifically, he applied his studies to his pastoral work, particularly by focusing on Aquinas’ moral philosophy. Galea died in 1905. Works Though Galea wrote profusely, most of his publications are of a religious and devotional nature which do are of no interest to philosophy. James Galea
James Galea is an Australian illusionist, magician and actor based in Sydney and Los Angeles. Early life and education Galea was introduced to the art of magic (illusion), magic at the age of 14. He spent most of his youth studying sleight of hand magic, practicing for eight hours a day. He also attended Marcellin College Randwick, graduating in 1998. Career In 1999, at age 18, Galea performed at James Packer, James Packer's first wedding. That same year also saw him open his own stage show in Japan. In 2002, Galea became the Australian Close-Up Magic Champion. Robert Galea (born 14 November 1981), known professionally as Fr Rob Galea, is a Maltese-Australian Roman Catholic priest and contemporary Christian singer-songwriter. Louis Galea (born 2 January 1948) is a Maltese politician who was Malta's representative on the European Court of Auditors from 2010 till 2016. Emanuel Galea, also spelled Emmanuele Galea, (March 10, 1891 – August 21, 1974) was a bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. Academic Achievements The youngest son of Guzeppi and Karmela Galea (née Camilleri), Emanuel Galea was born in Senglea, Malta, on March 10, 1891. After his primary education, he studied at the Lyceum between 1903 and 1909. After his decision to become a priest, he entered the Major Seminary and enrolled at the Royal University of Malta in 1910. He obtained the degree of Bachelor of Literature and Bachelor of Canon Law and that of Doctor of Divinity. He was awarded the Certificate of Honour in the Theology Course. He was ordained priest together with his brother Francesco on 18 December 1915. Two years later he was appointed Canon Theologian of the Collegiate Church of Senglea.
