Frank Joseph Galati (November 29, 1943 – January 2, 2023) was an American director, writer, and actor. He was a member of Steppenwolf Theatre Company and an associate director at Goodman Theatre. He taught at Northwestern University for many years. Early life Galati was born in Highland Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Giovanni Galati
Giovanni Galati (19 September 1897 – 15 October 1971) was an Italian admiral during World War II. During the war, he commanded the and participated in the Battle of Calabria. He became Chief of Staff of the Naval High Command Libya and was then, again, given command of the 14th Destroyer Squadron and then the Light Cruisers Group. He refused to surrender his ship when the armistice was agreed and was brought up on charges but eventually released and reinstated to active duty. He finished his service as Vice Admiral in 1947 and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Military Order of Italy. Martinho Lutero Galati de Oliveira (29 September 1953 – 25 March 2020) was a Brazilian conductor born in Alpercata, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. He created and directed the Luther King Choir (1970), the Tchova Xita Duma Cultural Association (1982) and the Cantosospeso Association (1987).Luther was born in the district of Alpercata, which belonged to Governador Valadares at the time and only became independent in the following decade. Lutero wrote the book ''Do gesture à gestão: um diálogo sobre maestros e liderança''. He was director of the Choir of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo from 2013 to 2016, president of the Brazilian Association of Choral Conductors in 2018 and professor at the Free University of Languages and Communication and at the Institute of Musicology of Milan. Tom Galati is a former U.S. soccer defensive midfielder who five seasons in the North American Soccer League. He also earned one cap with the U.S. national team. Youth and college Galati grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where he attended McBride High School from 1966 to 1970. He then attended Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where he played on the men's Division II soccer team from 1970 to 1974. In 1972, SIUE won the Division II national championship. Galati was a second team All-American in 1973 and was inducted, along with his teammates from the 1972 team, into the SIUE Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005 and was also inducted as an individual in 2010.
