The Galatasaray S.K. Football Academy ''(Turkish: Galatasaray Spor Klubü Futbol Akademisi)'' is a football youth academy based in Florya Metin Oktay Facilities, Istanbul, Turkey, from where the organization manages a total of 11 youth teams (ages between 8–19). The academy is the primary youth clinic of Turkish footballing giants Galatasaray. Florya Metin Oktay Facilities
Florya Metin Oktay Facilities ( tr, Florya Metin Oktay Tesisleri), is the training ground and academy base of the Turkish football club Galatasaray SK. The Florya training camp land was brought during the presidency of Suphi Batur, built and opened during Professor Ali Uras presidency and was expanded and improved during both Ali Tanriyar and Alp Yalman presidencies. It was opened on August 1, 1981. Located in Florya, Istanbul and named after the club's legendary goalscorer Metin Oktay, the sports complex covers an area of . Baran Demiroğlu (born 2 May 2005) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a forward for TFF First League club Fatih Karagümrük. Semih Kaya (, born 24 February 1991) is a former Turkish professional footballer who played as a centre back, most recently for Galatasaray. Emre Çolak (, born 20 May 1991) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or a winger. Emre has represented Turkey at every youth international level, before making his senior debut in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Romania in 2012 under coach Abdullah Avcı. Suat Kaya (born 26 August 1967) is a Turkish football manager and former player who is the manager of Tuzlaspor. Cüneyt Tanman (born 16 January 1956, in Istanbul) is a Turkish former footballer who played as a centre-back. He made 17 appearances for the Turkey national team. Coşkun Özarı
Coşkun Özarı (January 4, 1931 – June 22, 2011) was a Turkish football player and coach. Born 1931 in Istanbul, Coşkun Özarı joined Galatasaray as a very young student. After graduating from Galatasaray Lycee, he first appeared in the Galatasaray starting line-up at the age of 17. The backbone of Galatasaray, as well as the national team defense for the next 13 years, Özarı was known for his hard tackling, but mild manners. His leadership in defense led the team with Gündüz Kılıç as coach, Turgay Şeren in goal and Metin Oktay upfront, to several championships and Turkish Cup victories. Turgay Şeren
Turkay Sabit Şeren (15 May 1932 – 7 July 2016) was a Turkish football player, who was a one-time goalkeeper of Galatasaray. He played for Galatasaray between 1947 and 1966 and was capped 52 times for Turkey, including two matches at the 1954 FIFA World Cup. His heroic saves against West Germany in 1951 in Berlin was what he is still remembered for. Turkey had won 2–1. Because of that unforgettable day, he is nicknamed as "Berlin Panteri" (Panther of Berlin). He also coached Galatasaray. Şeren was awarded a testimonial match by the club in 1967 in Istanbul, inviting players like Ion Pârcălab, Lev Yashin and Ion Nunweiller. After his retirement, Şeren became a football columnist and a television commentator. Şeren died at age 84 on 7 July 2016.
