Galactic Command
''Galactic Command'' (GALCOM for short) is the third series of space exploration video games developed by 3000AD, Inc. Unlike the previous series, this game is targeted specifically for the casual/action fan, with advertised 'very low learning curve'. Elements such as trading, diplomacy, pointless exploration from the previous series were stripped away for the AIP (Acquire, Identify, Prosecute) compliant gameplay experience. Missions include recon, search & destroy, combat air patrol, escort, tactical support and other variants. Gametap
GameTap was an online video game service established by Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) in 2005. It provided users with classic arcade video games and game-related video content. The service was acquired by French online video game service Metaboli in 2008 as a wholly owned subsidiary; Metaboli aiming to create a global games service. The service remained active until October 2015, when it was shut down by Metaboli. Features GameTap was conceived primarily as an online subscription rental service, competing against mail-based services like GameFly. GameTap offered two subscription levels: a Premium subscription with access to the entire content library, and a Classic subscription with access to older console and arcade games running in emulation. A space flight simulation is a genre of flight simulator video games that lets players experience space flight to varying degrees of realism. Common mechanics include space exploration, space trade and space combat. Overview Some games in the genre aim to recreate a realistic portrayal of space flight, involving the calculation of orbits within a more complete physics simulation than pseudo space flight simulators. First-person shooter (FPS) is a sub-genre of shooter video games centered on gun and other weapon-based combat in a first-person perspective, with the player experiencing the action through the eyes of the protagonist and controlling the player character in a three-dimensional space.
