Gajwel Assembly constituency is a constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. It is part of Medak Lok Sabha constituency. It is one of 10 constituencies in erstwhile Medak district and is located around 64 km from state capital Hyderabad. Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, the first and incumbent Chief Minister of Telangana is representing this constituency. Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through Universal suffrage, adult franchise. In the 1989 United Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, Indian National Congress swept the polls, winning 181 of the 294 seats in the Assembly. Telugu Desam Party
The Telugu Desam Party (; TDP) is an Indian regional political party operating in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at the state and central level. Since its founding by N. T. Rama Rao (often referred to as NTR) on 29 March 1982, the party has focused on supporting Telugu speakers. Since 1995, NTR's son-in-law, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has led the party.
