Chan Gailey
Thomas Chandler Gailey Jr. (born January 5, 1952) is a former American football coach. Most recently in 2020, he was the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Gailey has previously served as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and Buffalo Bills from 1998 to 2012. In a coaching career spanning 46 years, Gailey began his NFL career as part of Dan Reeves' coaching staff on the Denver Broncos from 1985 to 1990, appearing in Super Bowls XXI, XXII, and XXIV with the Broncos. Gailey was on the Pittsburgh Steelers staff from 1994 to 1997 when the Steelers won four straight AFC Central titles and coached in one Super Bowl (XXX). He held his first professional head coach position in 1998, when he became the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, and led the Cowboys to playoff appearances in each of his 2 seasons in Dallas. David Gailey
David Gailey (1807–1881) was one of a number of Enrolled Pensioner Guards (EPGs) who came to the Swan River Colony between 1850 and 1868. Their role was to guard and oversee the work of the prisoners transported to Western Australia. In common with many of the Enrolled Pensioner Guards, Gailey was Irish and Catholic. He was born in Old Ross County in Watford in 1807. In December 1825, at the age of 18 years, he enlisted in the British Army, serving as a private in the 18th Regiment. He served for 20 years and was discharged in September 1846. He was 39 years of age. His record indicates his character was "extremely good" and he was awarded three good conduct badges. He was described as in height, with a fair complexion, grey eyes and hair dark. He married Margaret Hannen and in 1849 they had a son named John. Francis Gailey
Francis "Frank" Gailey (21 January 1882 – 10 July 1972) was an Australian-born American competition swimmer who swam in the 1904 Summer Olympics held in St. Louis, Missouri. Gailey was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, but later emigrated to the United States and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1906. For the 1904 Olympics, he was sponsored by the Olympic Club of San Francisco. Jeannine Hall Gailey (born April 30, 1973) is an American poet. She has published five books of poetry and two books of non-fiction. Her work focuses on pop culture, science and science fiction, fairy tales, and mythology. Early life and education Gailey was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Cincinnati, Master of Arts in English from the University of Cincinnati, and MFA from Pacific University. Career In 2012, Gailey was appointed to the position of poet laureate of Redmond, Washington. She was also selected as a member of the 2013 Jack Straw Writers Program. Mike Gailey is a retired American soccer player. He played professionally in the National Professional Soccer League and USISL. Youth In 1988, Gailey graduated from Grimsley High School. He attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro, playing on the men's soccer team from 1988 to 1991. He led the NCAA Division I in scoring in 1991. Richard Gailey, Sr. (22 April 1834 – 24 April 1924) was an Irish-born Australian architect. Gailey was born in Donegal, Ireland and emigrated to Australia in 1864, becoming an influential and prolific architect in colonial-era Brisbane. He died in Brisbane on 24 April 1924, two days after his ninetieth birthday, and is buried in Cleveland Cemetery along with his wife Mary, née Rice. Robert Reed Gailey (November 26, 1869 – January 18, 1950) was an American college football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Washington Agricultural College and School of Science—now known as Washington State University—for one season in 1897, compiling a record of 2–0. Gailey was born in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1895 and subsequently earned a Master of Arts degree from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Divinity from the Princeton Theological Seminary. At Princeton, he played football in 1896, earning All-American honors playing at center. Gailey later founded the world service program of the YMCA of the USA.
