Gail Robinson (writer)
Gail Robinson is a Canadian poet, novelist, and writer for radio. Born in Delisle, Saskatchewan, Robinson is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and the author of four books, including ''God of the Plains'', ''Coyote the Trickster'', ''Raven the Trickster'', and a volume of poetry. She is a regular contributor to both the CBC and BBC radio networks, and has written for NPR in the United States as well. Delisle, Saskatchewan
Delisle () is a town in south central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located southwest of Saskatoon beside Highway 7. History The origins of the town go back to original settlement which was on the Old Bone Trail. It derived its name from the DeLisle family. Lenora DeLisle with her four sons Amos, Fred, Ed and Eugene, came from North Dakota, United States, in 1903 and homesteaded on the land south of the present-day townsite. With the coming of the Canadian Northern Railway's line from Saskatoon to Calgary in 1908 the settlement to the south moved to the new townsite. The town was named after the brothers on December 29, 1908. Delisle was named a town in 1913.
