Gagged (EP)
''Gagged'' is an extended play (EP) recorded by American drag queen Violet Chachki, released on June 30, 2015, by Sidecar Records and Producer Entertainment Group. It was made available following her crowning as the winner of the seventh season of the reality competition series ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Chachki was inspired to create the record in order to have her own music and visuals for her performances. Consisting of five dance-pop, electronic, and avant-garde tracks, ''Gagged'' was released as a digital EP, and was also made available via streaming services. Its lyrics emphasize sexual fetishism and gender identity, based in part on Chachki's personal experience working as a dominatrix's assistant. It spawned two singles "Bettie" and "Vanguard", which were promoted through the release of two accompanying music videos. Violet Chachki
Violet Chachki is the stage name of Paul Jason Dardo (born June 13, 1992), an American drag queen, burlesque/ aerial performer, content creator, model, and recording artist best known for winning the seventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Chachki is genderfluid and uses ''she''/''her'' and ''they''/''them'' pronouns. Career Dardo began performing in drag as Violet Chachki at the age of 19. The name "Violet" was inspired by Jennifer Tilly's character of the same name in the film ''Bound'', while "Chachki" is a variant of the Yiddish word ''tchotchke'', used to name a strictly decorative small collectible item or describe a beautiful young lady. Purity Ring (band)
Purity Ring is a Canadian electronic pop band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, formed in 2010. The band consists of multi-instrumentalist/producer Corin Roddick and vocalist Megan James. They released their debut album '' Shrines'' in 2012 to critical acclaim, followed by '' Another Eternity'' in 2015 and ''Womb'' in 2020. The band released an EP, ''Graves'', on June 3, 2022. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes.
