Gabriela Sepúlveda (born September 21, 1999) is an American singer-songwriter, and actress of Mexican-Chilean descent singing in both Spanish as well as English. 2010 Copiapó Mining Accident
The 2010 Copiapó mining accident, also known then as the "Chilean mining accident", began on 5 August 2010, with a cave-in at the San José copper–gold mine, located in the Atacama Desert north of the regional capital of Copiapó, in northern Chile. Thirty-three men, trapped underground and from the mine's entrance via spiraling underground ramps, were rescued after 69 days. After the state-owned mining company, Codelco, took over rescue efforts from the mine's owners, exploratory boreholes were drilled. Seventeen days after the accident, a note was found taped to a drill bit pulled back to the surface: "Estamos bien en el refugio los 33" ("We are well in the shelter, the 33 of us"). "Como la Flor" ("Like the Flower") is a song that was recorded by American singer Selena for her third studio album ''Entre a Mi Mundo'' (1992). It was written by A. B. Quintanilla and Pete Astudillo. The song was conceptualized in 1982 after A. B. saw a family selling illuminated plastic flowers at a concert in Sacramento, California. In 1992, an infectious melody stuck in A. B's head; he ran from the shower of their hotel room in Bryan, Texas, pulled out a keyboard, and immediately began working on it with Astudillo. It took A. B. 20 minutes to complete the music and took Astudillo another hour to complete the lyrics. Andean music is a group of styles of music from the Andes region in South America. Dasahev López Saavedra (born July 27, 1989), better known as El Dasa, is a Mexican singer from Hermosillo, Sonora. El Dasa has been nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards. Early life and career At age 15, El Dasa became the lead singer of Banda Costa Azul, from Hermosillo, Sonora. Salinas Sports Complex
The Salinas Sports Complex is a sporting complex located in Salinas, California on the Central Coast. The main feature of the complex is a 17,000-seat stadium for California Rodeo Salinas. Soccer, football, and rugby was also played at the main stadium before the opening of Rabobank Stadium next door. The grounds have been home to the California Rodeo Salinas since 1911. The original wood stadium structure was built in 1924 and replaced in 1996 with a stadium design by Kasavan Architects.
