Gabriel Matei
Gabriel Eugen Matei (born 26 February 1990) is a Romanian footballer who plays as a defender and for CSO Filiași. Club career Steaua București Gabiel Matei was transferred to Steaua București for a reported transfer fee of €600,000. Pandurii Târgu Jiu will be receiving also €500,000 from a future transfer fee. His career was marked by multiple injuries, thus he missed almost two seasons while at Steaua, having four surgeries in this period. Zira On 25 June 2017, Matei signed a one-year contract, with the option of a second year, with Azerbaijan Premier League club Zira FK. Curtea De Argeș
Curtea de Argeș () is a municipality in Romania on the left bank of the river Argeș, where it flows through a valley of the Southern Carpathians (the Făgăraș Mountains), on the railway from Pitești to the Turnu Roșu Pass. It is part of Argeș County. The city also administers one village, Noapteș. On July 7, 1947, the total rainfall in Curtea de Argeș was in 20 minutes, which is a world record. Etymology and names The present name, literally ''The Court upon (river) Argeș'', refers to the former status of the town as the capital of Wallachia. Some historians identify the Argeș River with ancient " Ordessos", however the name is unlikely to be derived from this name. The oldest Slavonic documents use an "Arghiș" form, which might suggest a Cuman or Pecheneg etymology, from the root ''arghiš'' ("higher ground", "heights"). The Cupa Ligii ( en, League Cup) was Romania's secondary club football tournament. Like the Cupa României, it was played on a knockout (single elimination) basis. History It is unclear when the competition was first created, as there are no official recordings. It probably started sometime after 1990, but there may already have been an edition as early as 1978. Cupa Ligii was meant to shorten the break between the end of the league season and the start of a major international competition. It had a friendly character and was last played in 2000 before being dropped. The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București.
