Gabriel Kazu
Gabriel Kazu Rossato Yanagu (born 9 June 1999), commonly known as Kazu, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Avaí on loan from Tombense. Early life Kazu was born in Japan to Brazilian parents: his father is of Japanese descent, and his mother of Italian descent. His parents were injured in a car accident in 1998, and spent their life savings to pay the hospital bills. Kazu's father moved his family to his ancestral Japan to work as dekasegis to rebuild their life. Kazu was born in Seki, Japan, and named after the Japanese international footballer Kazuyoshi Miura. Career Flamengo On 14 February 2018 Flamengo signed Kazu from Luverdense on a free transfer, although the two parts agreed that Luverdense would keep 30% of this economic rights. The 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition was originally scheduled to begin on 2 May and end on 28 November, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled for 7 August 2020–29 January 2021. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2019 season, four promoted from the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Confiança, Juventude, Náutico and Sampaio Corrêa), and four relegated from the 2019 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Avaí, Chapecoense, Cruzeiro and CSA). This was the first Série B played by Cruzeiro in their history. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state.
