Gabi Garcia
Gabrielle "Gabi" Lemos Garcia is a Brazilian mixed martial artist, 9x Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) World Champion, 11x Pan Jiu-Jitsu Champion and 4 X ADCC Submission Fighting World champion. One of the most successful competitors of all time in the female black belt divisions, and a member of the IBJJF Hall of Fame. In December 2021, Garcia announced that she was officially retiring from IBJJF competition. Early life and education Gabi Garcia was born on November 17, 1985 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Garcia's early and mid-teens were spent playing sports including volleyball, team handball, and field hockey. At age 13, Garcia and her family moved to São Paulo. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. Jungle Fight
Jungle Fight is a Brazilian mixed martial arts and kickboxing promotion. It was created in 2003. The name is derived from its origin, the Amazonas state in Brazil. History Jungle Fight was founded by pioneering MMA fighter and long-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, Wallid Ismail. The organization was created in 2003 and its first event was in Manaus, Amazonas. In 2006 there was an event in Slovenia, the first and so far only, Jungle Fight event held outside of Brazil. No events were held in 2007, but in 2008 it began to hold a series of events in Rio de Janeiro. Jungle Fight has been described as "easily the best promotion in all of Brazil or South America, for that matter" by Sherdog.com. Megumi Yabushita
is a retired Japanese female mixed martial artist, kickboxer, professional wrestler and judoka. She has participated in several Japanese professional wrestling and mixed martial arts promotions. She is a Japanese national judo champion and a former Smackgirl open weight champion and tournament winner. Background Yabushita was born on in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan.
