Gabriel José Pinto Couto (born 20 March 1981), simply known as Gabi is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a Midfielder (association football), midfielder. Football career Born in Fiães (Santa Maria da Feira), Fiães, Santa Maria da Feira, Gabi began in the lower leagues with Fiães S.C. before moving to C.D. Feirense in the LigaPro, second tier. He spent most of his career at that level with seven clubs, making 241 appearances and scoring 25 goals. Cordova, officially the Municipality of Cordova ( ceb, Lungsod sa Cordova; tgl, Bayan ng Cordova), is a 3rd class municipality of the Philippines, municipality in the Philippine Province, province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 70,595 people. Also spelled Cordoba, most of the municipality lies on separate islands off the southern coast of Mactan Island. The Great American Biotic Interchange (commonly abbreviated as GABI), also known as the Great American Interchange and the Great American Faunal Interchange, was an important late Cenozoic paleozoogeographic biotic interchange event in which land and freshwater fauna migrated from North America via Central America to South America and vice versa, as the volcanic Isthmus of Panama rose up from the sea floor and bridged the formerly separated continents. Although earlier dispersals had occurred, probably over water, the migration accelerated dramatically about 2.7 million years ( Ma) ago during the Piacenzian age. It resulted in the joining of the Neotropic (roughly South American) and Nearctic (roughly North American) biogeographic realms definitively to form the Americas. Kabi Kabi, also spelt Gabi-Gabi/Gubbi Gubbi, is a language of Queensland in Australia, formerly spoken by the Kabi Kabi people of South-east Queensland. The main dialect, Kabi Kabi, is extinct, but there are still 24 people with knowledge of the Butchulla dialect (also spelt Batjala, Batyala, Badjala, and variants), a language spoken by the Butchulla people of Fraser Island. ''Gabi'' () is a 2012 South Korean film starring Kim So-yeon, Joo Jin-mo and Park Hee-soon. It follows an ostensible assassination plot of King Gojong (1852-1919), using coffee brewed by royal barista Tanya. The plan is masterminded by Sadako, a Joseon woman with adopted Japanese nationality, and aided by Ilyich, Tanya's lover. Gabi (born 10 December 2005), also known as Boon-Chooi, is the first elephant conceived in Israel through artificial insemination. His 6-hour birth was viewed by over 350,000 people in 108 countries via live web streaming on the website of the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, which coordinated the pregnancy and birth through its elephant artificial insemination program. In 2010, Gabi was moved to the Gaziantep Zoo in Turkey. Background The Asian Elephant enclosure at the zoo was constructed in 1993 with the help of Jerusalem mayor Teddy Kollek's Jerusalem Foundation, which also raised funds to bring in female Asian elephants from Thailand at a cost of $50,000 apiece. Gabi ( sr, Габи) was a female German shepherd who worked as a guard dog in the Belgrade Zoo, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia. She became famous when she was attacked by a jaguar that escaped from its cage on 22 June 1987. History In the 1980s an eight-year-old German Shepherd, Gabi, was adopted by the zoo and became an informal security guard. On the night of 22 June 1987, she was patrolling the zoo with guard Stanimir Stanić and a male German shepherd. In the darkness Stanić failed to notice a jaguar that had escaped from its cage. Gabi sensed the animal and jumped on it, while the other dog ran in fear from the large cat. Gabi fought the jaguar throughout the zoo, which allowed critical time for Stanić to telephone the police and wait for them to arrive. Gabi (clothing)
The Gabi ( am, ጋቢ) is a handmade cloth worn by Ethiopians mainly over the shoulders and upper body, and is made out of cotton. Unlike the two-layered kuta (worn by men) and netela (worn by women), it consists of four layers. Characterized by its thickness, the Gabi is the traditional garment of men belonging to the Amhara ethnic group due to the high altitude nature of their homeland, most of the time it's worn by the elderly and clergy.
