Scilla Gabel (born Gianfranca Gabellini; 4 January 1938) is an Italian film, television and stage actress. She appeared in 50 films between 1954 and 1982. Career Born in Rimini, Italy, one of five children, Gabel entered the cinema industry as Sophia Loren's body double. Between 1957 and 1967 she appeared, often as the female lead actress, in dozens of films, but failed to emerge because of the stereotyped roles. Starting from late sixties she focused her activity on stage and television, in which she found most significant roles and critical appreciation. Personal life Gabel married Piero Schivazappa in 1968; they had one child. Father's murder On May 8th, 1999 Gabel's 87 year-old father Giuseppe Gabellini was murdered. Lorenzo Gabellini (born 9 September 1999 in Rimini) is a professional motorcycle racer from Italy. In 2020, he competed in the Superbike World Championship aboard a Honda Fireblade with Althea Mie Racing for less than half of the season until the Altea management split from their race-team partner, Moriwaki in late August. Michael Gabellini (born in 1958), FAIA, is a minimalist architect, interior designer and partner of Gabellini Sheppard Associates with Design Partner, Kimberly Sheppard and Consulting Partner, Daniel Garbowit. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, he won the National Design Award for Interior Design in 2006 and has also been recognized with the Progressive Architecture Award and awards from the American Institute of Architects, the International Interior Design Association, among other professional societies and publications.
