Gab Banal
Gabriel Banal (born September 9, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 22nd overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2014 PBA Draft. He is the son of former basketball player and coach Joel Banal. Amateur career He went on to play for the Go For Gold Scratchers of the PBA D-League. After winning the finals in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Finals, he was given the Finals MVP Award. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. They are strategic and are often relied upon to score, defend, create open lanes, and rebound for their team. 2014 PBA Draft
The Gatorade 2014 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft was an event which allowed teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The event was held at Midtown Atrium, Robinsons Place Manila on August 24, 2014. Draft lottery The lottery determined the team that will obtain the first pick in the draft. The remaining first-round picks and the second-round picks were assigned to teams in reverse order of their cumulative final rankings in the previous season with heavier weight from the results of the Philippine Cup. The NLEX Road Warriors is a professional basketball team owned by NLEX Corporation, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, currently playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since the 2014–2015 season. The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines. History Manny Pacquiao launched the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League on August 29, 2017, starting off as a semi-professional league. Ronald Lozada Pascual (born June 23, 1988) is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the Pampanga Delta of the NBL–Philippines. He was drafted third overall by the Barako Bull Energy in the 2014 PBA draft. Early life Pascual started playing basketball at age 11, but he was a varsity volleyball player until he was in his second year of high school. Chico A. Lanete (born August 1, 1979) is a Filipino professional basketball coach and former player. He is the head coach for the Chooks-to-Go 3x3 pro circuit teams. In 5×5 full court basketball, he last played for the Bicol Volcanoes of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
