GRU Airport People Mover
The GRU Airport People Mover is a future people mover at the São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport to connect the nearby CPTM railway station to the airport's terminals. This line will be approximately long and will have 4 stations, beginning at the Aeroporto-Guarulhos station (with connection to Line 13-Jade) and continuing to separate stations at each of the three terminals. Expression of interest were first invited in August 2019. During the opening of the second access on Oscar Freire station, Governor João Doria affirmed that the dealership would have a deadline of 18 months to build the line and opening scheduled for December 2021. In November 2020, the Ministry of Infrastructure signed an authorization term sent to the National Civil Aviation Agency, allowing the construction of the line. People Mover
A people mover or automated people mover (APM) is a type of small scale automated guideway transit system. The term is generally used only to describe systems serving relatively small areas such as airports, downtown districts or theme parks. The term was originally applied to three different systems, developed roughly at the same time. One was Skybus, an automated mass transit system prototyped by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation beginning in 1964. The second, alternately called the People Mover and Minirail, opened in Montreal at Expo 67. Finally the last, called PeopleMover or WEDway PeopleMover, was an attraction that was originally presented by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and that opened at Disneyland in 1967. Rapids are sections of a river where the river bed has a relatively steep gradient, causing an increase in water velocity and turbulence. Salgado Filho Porto Alegre International Airport is the airport serving Porto Alegre and the region of Greater Porto Alegre, Brazil. It is named after the Senator and first Minister of the Brazilian Air Force Joaquim Pedro Salgado Filho (1888–1950). It is operated by Fraport, Fraport Brasil. Atmospheric Railway
An atmospheric railway uses differential air pressure to provide power for propulsion of a railway vehicle. A static power source can transmit motive power to the vehicle in this way, avoiding the necessity of carrying mobile power generating equipment. The air pressure, or partial vacuum (i.e., negative relative pressure) can be conveyed to the vehicle in a continuous pipe, where the vehicle carries a piston running in the tube. Some form of re-sealable slot is required to enable the piston to be attached to the vehicle. Alternatively the entire vehicle may act as the piston in a large tube or be coupled electromagnetically to the piston. Several variants of the principle were proposed in the early 19th century, and a number of practical forms were implemented, but all were overcome by unforeseen disadvantages and discontinued within a few years.
