GMA Integrated News (formerly known as RBS News Department, GMA Radio-Television News and GMA Rainbow Satellite News; and later GMA News and Public Affairs), is the news division of the Philippine media company GMA Network, Inc. The division generates news output for the company's media outlets, including GMA Network's television, radio, and digital media platforms. History Established 1950 as the radio news and commentary division of Metro Manila radio station DZBB, GMA-IN is one of the oldest news and public affairs departments in any Philippine media network. Thru its long existence, it pioneered trends in radio and TV news gathering and current affairs production. In October 2022, GMA Public Affairs was split into a separate division, and GMA News was subsequently renamed "GMA Integrated News" under the leadership of Oliver Victor Amoroso. Heart of Asia Channel, known on-air as Heart of Asia, is a Philippine free-to-air television channel owned by GMA Network Inc. The channel was on test broadcast from June 12 until June 28, 2020, and was officially launched on June 29, 2020. It operates daily starting at 06:00 ( PST) with sign-off on weekdays at 00:20 (PST) and on weekends at 00:00 (PST). GMA General Santos
DXBG-TV, Channel 8 (analog) and Channel 34 (digital), is a local commercial television station owned and operated by GMA Network Inc. Its studio and transmitter are located at Nuñez St., Brgy. San Isidro, General Santos City. History GMA General Santos began its broadcast on Channel 5 ( DXWP-TV) as an affiliate of Southern TV Industries from 1985 to 1992. GMA General Santos transferred its current regional station to Channel 8 as an owned-and-operated station in 1992 and became a relay station delivering programs from Metro Manila via DZBB-TV.
