Guy's Hill High School
Guy's Hill High School is a secondary school in the village of Guy's Hill, Saint Catherine, Jamaica. Established in 1971, the school serves students twelve to twenty years of age. History The school first opened its doors in 1971 as a Junior Secondary School with an enrolment of 670 students in grades 7 through 9. The school had as its first principal Miss Ada L. Osbourne with an academic staff of 17 teachers operating a straight day system. With the implementation of a new level of the educational system, grade 10 programs were introduced. In order to adequately accommodate the flow of students, the school adopted the shift system. With the rapid growth and development of the school in the North–East St. Catherine region it became necessary to change the name to Guy's Hill New Secondary School. Gig Harbor High School is a public high school in the Peninsula School District in Gig Harbor, Washington. The school opened in September 1979. The school enrolls 1611 students (2017) in ninth through twelfth grades. Facility history and remodel Gig Harbor High School (GHHS) opened its doors in the fall of 1979 as the second high school in the Peninsula School District. The first graduating class was in 1981. In an effort not to split up the senior class from cross-town Peninsula High School during the first year of operation, GHHS enrolled grades 8-11 during the inaugural 1979–1980 school year. Green Hope High School is a secondary school located at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road in Cary, North Carolina. It is a part of the Wake County Public School System. History Green Hope School origins The school is named for the historic Green Hope School, built in 1927. This rural school included grades 1 through 12. In 1952, it was renamed Green Hope Elementary School when the higher grades were reallocated to nearby Cary or Apex High Schools.
