GET-ligaen Playoff MVP is a Norwegian ice hockey award which is awarded annually to the player judged most valuable to his team during the GET-ligaen playoffs. It was first awarded in 2007. The trophy itself is much larger than Kongepokalen which is the prize the Norwegian ice hockey clubs compete for each year in order to become Norwegian ice hockey champions. Robert Bina
Robert "Robbie" Bina (born January 4, 1983) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for the Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). A graduate of the University of North Dakota, Bina overcame a serious injury in his sophomore year to start his professional career in American minor league hockey in 2008. With the Las Vegas Wranglers in his second season, Bina developed an offensive talent that was rewarded with a starting position in the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game, although he chose to forgo the opportunity in favor of playing overseas. In Norway, he helped the Stavanger Oilers win their first ever title, the 2010 Norwegian Championship, and was named the most valuable player of the tournament. Storhamar Hockey
Storhamar Hockey, often referred to by its initials SIL, is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Hamar, Norway. The club currently plays in the Fjordkraft-ligaen, the highest level of Norwegian hockey. The club has won seven regular season titles and seven national championships since its founding on 18 March 1957. Storhamar play their home games in the CC Amfi. The club also includes the largest junior department in Norwegian ice hockey. The team colours are yellow and blue. History The 1952 Winter Olympics inspired local Hamar youth to form a hockey club in the area. The 2011–12 GET-ligaen was the 73rd season of Norway's premier ice hockey league, Eliteserien (known as GET-ligaen for sponsorship reasons). The season began on 10 September 2011 with the final round of the regular season played on 1 March 2012. The Stavanger Oilers won their first league championship after beating Frisk Asker on 2 February 2012. With a total of 112 points, the Oilers broke the previous record of 108 points held by the Sparta Warriors (2011) and Storhamar Dragons (2006). Lørenskog finished as runners-up ahead of Vålerenga. The playoffs to determine the 2012 Norwegian champions began on 4 March 2012 and ended on 13 April 2012. Sparta Warriors
Ishockeyklubben Sparta Sarpsborg, commonly referred to as the Sparta Warriors, is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Sarpsborg, Norway. They currently play in the GET League. They play their home games in the Sparta Amfi arena and is Norway's oldest ice hockey rink. The team colours are blue and white. History The ice hockey department of IL Sparta was founded in 1958, and got off to a fantastic start when Norway's first indoor hockey arena, Sparta Amfi, was opened in 1963. Within three years, they earned promotion to the Eliteserien (first division) as the first team outside Oslo to do so.
